What is Canine Cancer?

We are so sorry that you have stumbled upon this page. It was 2010 when we too were like you, search over the internet for a miracle cure for cancer for our beloved Jill. Over the years, we have helped many pet owners like yourself in their battles against canine cancer, and guided them the proper ways of handling dogs with cancer. So if you are here looking for the cure, there isn’t one then and there isn’t one now.

But the medical world has improved the chances vastly. So be sure to read on.

Cancer is the name given to a collection of related diseases. In all types of cancer, some of the body’s cells begin to divide without stopping and spread into surrounding tissues. Cancer can start almost anywhere in the animal’s body, which is made up of trillions of cells.

If you’re facing dog cancer and you feel overwhelmed, there’s a good reason for that: it’s overwhelming. There is a lot of information to sort through and understand, and it’s not always easy to get it from veterinarians. And this is why this segment of RA Healing Centre is being established.

Your immediate priority right now is to clear your mind and remove all emotional upsets from the heart. Manage all the negative emotions as much as possible. Your next agendar should be ramping up all the positive emotions and reconnect with your deepest love for your dog. Nothing else, and we mean absolutely nothing else, is more important. Once you have accomplish the above two points, all your treatment decisions, all of your actions will benefit from it. And it is the most important way to help you dog all along the way.

Dogs Pick Up on Our Mental and Emotional State. Do not allow your negativity affect their survival instinct.

Getting Help Immediately

You are suspecting your dog may have cancer, or your dog has been “diagnosed” with cancer. What help do you have and where should you be heading or turning to? While some veterinarians might have a good knowledge of canine oncology, some others do not. There are very little veterinarians who have access to the latest treatments while many others are using outdated protocols in Singapore. Furthermore, many veterinarians in Singapore are closed-minded and will only prescribe conventional text-book therapies, while some Holistic veterinarians will strictly employ alternative therapies (alternative therapies are therapies that reject any other therapies that can complement each other). It is in our non-medical opinion and personal experiences, that you should be looking for a veterinarian who specializes in cancer care (there is no veterinarian oncologist here in Singapore during the publication of this article) who will employ the use of all conventional, complementary and veterinary medicine at the same time.

It is essential that you develop a collaborative relationship with your selected veterinarian/s. We enjoy working with veterinarians who listens and is respectful of our wishes. In addition, we seek for veterinarians who are extremely compassionate, caring towards you and your dog. This is a difficult and emotional road and feeling as if your veterinarian is 100% committed to you becomes very important.

Over the years, we have also developed very close contacts with scientists, developers and holistic veterinarians from all over the world. Information unobtainable here, we know where to turn to for additional help as well.
